Diaries and journals, correspondence, writings, genealogical papers, notebooks, photographs, and other papers. The bulk of the papers consist of personal and some business correspondence, including letters from persons relating psychic experiences. Personal correspondence includes letters from the Rhine children, Mrs. Rhine's mother, Louisa (Long) Weckesser, and other family members and friends. Also includes Louisa Rhine's diaries, genealogical material relating to the allied Long and Weckesser families, and writings of J. B. Rhine, Louisa Rhine, and others. The papers also provide information about the Duke University Parapsychology Laboratory and the Foundation for Research on the Nature of Man, both established under J. B. Rhine's leadership.
